Click Creative recently developed a Facebook and viral marketing mini site for Click Liverpool.
With Creamfields on the horizon we developed an application to promote Click Liverpool's inimitable coverage of the dance festival. Working with two of the region's most stylish brands, Cream and Voodou, we were able to offer two desirable prizes as an incentive to get involved.
We were obviously aware
that people need more than just blind-chance to enter a competition. We came up with a fun concept to get people involved and most importantly for the client the spur to hand over personal details.
We created a fun survey concept to allow users to see what kind of festival goer category they fall into. Our team of copywriters came up with funky questions and end results to appear to Cream's target audience.
Harnessing the power of Facebook we made it easy for people to get involved. With users logged into Facebook many of their details were already available for us to integrate into the application making it even easier to complete the survey.
The Facebook side of the application helped spread the message virally. Users had their results published to their news feeds so their friends could see. There was also an option to publish a "badge" to their profile.
We were keen not to exclude non-Facebook users so we created a version to run outside of the social media site. We promoted this throughout the Click News network and the project was a roaring success.
